We must admit we were impressed with the H7550 pureguardian™ humidifier. The new design is attractive and it includes all of the advanced control settings that you get with the top-of-the line ultrasonic humidifiers that cost almost $100 more. The idea of including an extension wand with the humidifier so it can disperse even mist throughout entire room, or be placed on the floor, was a good thought but lacks in design. When the wand is attached to the humidifier it takes away from the appeal of the humidifier and looks awkward. Despite that one criticism, the H7550 represents a great value for its price, providing advanced controls with automatic operation, no need for replacement parts and a respectable 3-year warranty. This humidifier is a good fit for a small or large room and has the option of warm or cool mist output for optimal comfort.

After years of traditional humidifiers, this is our first ultrasonic humidifier and the difference is impressive. The pipes to add for the mist to be directed to various heights, the choice between cool and heated water, and the adjustable volume/speed of humidification are great features. The humidistat is accurate to within 3-4%. The machine is very quiet, which was an essential feature for using it overnight in the bedroom. The only thing close to a con with the machine is that the brightness of the icon for volume speed of humidification grows brighter with the higher rate/speed. Even on the lowest rate/speed it strikes us a bit bright, so we turn the machine toward the wall so the light doesn't shine toward the bed.

The only issue with it is the control lights are a blue color. Not recommended for good sleep by natural health people.
